This place is extremely delicious! We are from Saskatchewan and have eaten Indian cuisine across Canada this summer, this was some of the best. If we lived in Sydney we'd come here all the time. We had 2 of their recommended dishes, chicken Haleem and kebab special, they were incredible. Ask for their suggestions, we did everything they suggested and it was so so good. The rice was also perfect and garlic naan was perfectly flavored. The mango shake was really really good. Wish we lived closer! Place was very clean and friendly service.

What a hidden gem in Sydney! I was so surprised (in the best way) to find such authentic halal food on this small island. The flavours were absolutely on point – truly a taste of home. Easily the best halal food in Sydney! The staff were incredibly kind, generous, and made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Sydney and craving real, flavour-packed halal dishes, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at Royal Halal! I ordered the chicken leg and thigh tandoori with rice, naan, salad, and chutney, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked—juicy and full of flavor with that classic tandoori spice. The portions were generous, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a spot I’d recommend and visit again!

Feel so very lucky they were still open at 9:30 on a Thursday night. Food was so very good! Favorite was Choley Bhature appetizer but the butter chicken and palak paneer were also very good (paneer was grilled!)

Absolutely delicious. Have tried most Indian restaurant but they have the best butter chicken in Cape Breton.

Absolutely amazing experience at Royal Halal - Best Food in Town! I had the Tandoori BBQ and Nihari – both were hands down the best I’ve had in Sydney. The flavors were rich and authentic, and everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were incredibly humble and kind, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious halal food and great hospitality. Will definitely be coming back!

The most succulent, mouthwatering paneer I've ever tasted in Nova Scotia sydney. The cuisine is amazing, and the service is kind. I've never tasted better naan—it was wonderfully crispy and tender. It will be fantastic if you order anything, but make sure you order the lamb. Additionally, they appropriately spiced it for us, and we enjoy a lot of spice. I'm eager to give everything a try!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal Halal and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious – the Paneer Tikka BBQ was perfectly grilled, with a smoky flavor and tender paneer that just melted in the mouth. The Karahi Paneer was rich, flavorful, and bursting with spices, while the Paneer Fries Chat offered a unique twist with crispy fries topped with a zesty, tangy sauce – an absolute treat! The service was impeccable – the staff was attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything was just right throughout our meal. The ambiance also added to the overall experience, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this to anyone craving delicious Indian food. It's the perfect place to enjoy flavorful dishes with great service and a cozy ambiance.
